Spray Tanning is one of the most profitable and frequently requested treatments within beauty therapy, appealing to salon based and mobile therapists alike.

Tan Solutions Spray Tanning Course gives a comprehensive overview of the tanning industry and of the treatment itself. The course is approximately 4 hours long (this will depend on the number of attendees).

The course will be taught by an experienced tutor at our premises in Chesterfield and will include theory and practical elements.

Important information prior to attending the course

Attendees have the option to either spray one another to practice the technique or a model the attendee has brought with them, certificates can only be issued if the attendee has sprayed another person.

Students must fully exfoliate prior to the course and ensure they have not applied any oil based lotions to the skin. Waxing / shaving / hair removal cream is to be carried out a minimum of 12 hours before the course.

Make-up, deodorant and perfume must be removed prior to application of the tan.

Students may wear their own bikini/suitable underwear; disposable underwear will however be available if needed.

Dark, loose fitting clothes are most appropriate.

Learning outcomes

The outcome of the course will be a full knowledge of how to confidently apply a spray tan to a client, how to perform a client consultation including preparation of the skin prior to application and aftercare and any contra – indications. A valuable business plan will also be provided which will cover set up costs and potential profit.

Students will also learn about essential equipment and maintenance.

On completion of the course

It is advisable that on completion of the course students practice on friends / family to ensure they are fully confident before working with clients.

Students will not be required to purchase a kit, however if they wish to purchase any products or equipment on the day discounts will apply.

Students will be issued with a certificate on satisfactory completion of the course.
